Palazzo Farnese renovations

Jump to last reply

I am considering booking the English tour of the Palazzo Farnese this coming May and noted on the advanced booking website that the main attraction, the Carracci Gallery, is now closed for renovation as of mid March. In light of this they will be touring a section previously off limits to the public, the Camerini section. I am wondering if anyone has taken the tour since the renovation closure, and could comment on whether it still deserves a booking.

We are staying nearby on via Giulia and the tour is one hour at 5 pm so it will not be out of our way to visit and still seems like a nice way to pass sometime before dinner, but I am a little skeptical now the the highlight of the tour is unavailable for viewing.

Appreciate all opinions.

Happy travels
