Palazzo Del Capitano rooms

We will be staying at Palazzo Del Capitano in Tuscany for two nights of our honeymoon and I was wondering what rooms you would recommend. If we could do a standard room that would be a good place to save a few dollars for the more expensive areas like Venice but the Junior suites look great for not much more money. Thanks for your input.

Hello DW0201:
My husband and I stayed in the room called"Capricorno" three weeks ago. It was huge and had lovely furniture and the most comfortable bed we've ever had in Italy! A couple of the other rooms there had lofts where the Bathroom was located. We were happy that this was not the case for us. Ours did not get much sun, but the garden is just a few steps outside the door. We loved the hotel and the town is delightful especially in the evening when all the townsfolk gather before dinner. Wew were lucky to spend 6 nights there and would return again.

Thanks for your responses, to PeggyAnn-They don't show pictures of the lofts, are they like balconies outside or is it just a sitting room, did you use the loft?

The rooms that we were able to peek into had an open stairway in the room leading to a loft where the bathroom was located. So if you wanted to go to the john, you needed to climb the stairway. Middle of the night???? We were very happy with the all on one floor "Capricorno". I would email them and ask which rooms were all on one level. Also, even tho ours was on the First floor, we had to go one flight up."First floor" in Italy usually means one flight up. Good luck!
