Pairs with kids - 5 day itinerary

Jump to last reply

Working on an itinerary four our trip this August for family of 2 adults and 3 kids, age 8, 10, 10. Want to mix culture with outdoor fun for the kids. Our kids appreciate good food and are adventurous eaters and know how to behave in restaurants. Please give thoughts or suggestions. I'd also appreciate any restaurant recommendations. This is our first time to Paris, so trying to put together a plan using guide books and web research.

Sunday: arrive in Paris 3pm. Check into hotel in the 7th arrondissement . Visit nearby Les Invalides. Let off steam in the Champ DeMars or go to Musee Rodin. Dinner at Les Cocorres de Christain Constant. Walk around and take in the feel of the city at night.

Monday: Take a ride on L’Open Tour bus to get an overview of Paris. Go to Il de la Cite’ and Notre Dame. Picnic lunch. Champs Elysees and climb the Arc de Triiomphe. Dinner at L’Atelier Enault Café. Night time cruise on the Sienne

Tuesday: Visit the Marais, Center Pompidou, Musee des Arts et Metiers. Open to other suggestions

Wednesday: Visit the Louvre, picnic lunch, sail wooden boats in Jardin des Tuileries, Palais Royal, Sacre Coeur. 5pm tour of Eiffel. I know this Eiffel is not near the Louvre, but this was the only time I could book tickets to the Eiffel and the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays.

Thursday: Bike tour of Monets gardens, afternoon free-advice?

Friday- leave paris in the AM

I appreciate all comments and suggestions
