Padua or Verona?

We have two weeks in Venice in April. Last visit, we went to Vicenza and greatly enjoyed that city. This time, we want to make a day trip to either Padua or Verona. Recommendations?

It depends on your interests. Verona has an intact Roman arena and other ruins, wonderful street life and wine bars, some interesting sights. The trip Venice-Verona is farther than Venice-Padova. Padova has Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel and the Basilica of San Antonio, wnderful street life, and some other interesting sights. You get to choose.

Do both. Easily done from Venice, especially with as much time as you have there.

Yes, do both. Don't forget that you need reservations for the
Scrovegni Chapel. Don't miss it.

Do both! I spent a week in Padua a few years ago (with day trips to other towns) and loved it. I did day trip to Verona and loved it so much I went back on another trip for 4 more nights. They are both beautiful cities.
