Overnight parking in Munich

Jump to last reply

Is it possible to find overnight parking in Munich city center? I'm trying to debate whether to keep my rental car or turn it in when I get to Munich. We are 4 adults.

From Munich, we will:
- day trip out to Salzburg (30E one way = 240E round trip for 4)
- train back to Stuttgart (55E one way = 220E for 4)
These are with DB Bahn standard fare. (BTW, what's a "Saving Fares"?)

So clearly, a rental car fee will be cheaper ... except I don't know how difficult and expensive it is to find overnight parking while in Munich.

I'm looking to rent an apartment for 4-5 nights in the city center and I'm assuming that most apartments will not come with parking. So I have to look for overnight parking. I've read up on the Park & Ride but it seems that you can't park there overnight. Are there parking garage in Munich?

I'm considering apartment since I think that will be cheaper than 2 hotel double rooms, although hotel might provide parking.
