Overnight parking in Munich

Is it possible to find overnight parking in Munich city center? I'm trying to debate whether to keep my rental car or turn it in when I get to Munich. We are 4 adults.

From Munich, we will:
- day trip out to Salzburg (30E one way = 240E round trip for 4)
- train back to Stuttgart (55E one way = 220E for 4)
These are with DB Bahn standard fare. (BTW, what's a "Saving Fares"?)

So clearly, a rental car fee will be cheaper ... except I don't know how difficult and expensive it is to find overnight parking while in Munich.

I'm looking to rent an apartment for 4-5 nights in the city center and I'm assuming that most apartments will not come with parking. So I have to look for overnight parking. I've read up on the Park & Ride but it seems that you can't park there overnight. Are there parking garage in Munich?

I'm considering apartment since I think that will be cheaper than 2 hotel double rooms, although hotel might provide parking.
