Overnight from Munich to Rothenberg and back?

Jump to last reply

Hi everyone. My family and I will be staying in Munich for 3 days next July 2013 before taking the train to Vienna. I was looking at excursions that would take us on an overnight from Munich to Rothenberg. Would like to spend a full day and night in Rothenberg to be able to do the whole town and the night watchmen tour. We would also like to go by bus so we could experience the Romantic Road along the way. We would like to go back to Munich early the next morning to be able to do 1 more day in Munich before departing for Vienna. However, I couldn't find any tours that would just do an overnight in Rothenberg. Most of the tours took you on to Frankfurt instead of going back to Munich.

Does anyone know if there are any overnight tours just to Rothenberg and back or, is there anywhere we can find out about a bus that we could take there and back on our own? Also, does anyone know how many hours it would take to get there? Would appreciate some help!
