Overnight Ferry from Naples to Aeolians
Does anyone know when overnight ferries run from Naples to the Aeolians (and return) in late September and first half October? I'm trying to plan a visit this autumn and can't read the ferry timetables, which all seem to be either in Italian or German. I know that Siremar has run this service in the past. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Siremar's timetable is on www.siremar.it. In September and October, sailings from Napoli are on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2100, and departures from the islands to Napoli are on Mondays and Thursdays.
There are other ferries every night from Napoli to Sicily (Palermo and Catania) run by Tirrenia, SNAV and TTT Lines (www.tirrenia.it, www.snav.it and www.tttlines.it), and several services a day from Milazzo to the Eolian islands.

Thanks so much for the information and the links. Do you think I need advance reservations for a cabin on the Naples-Lipari overnight ferry in late September? Or can I get them in Naples a day or two before I depart?

Julia, I am also looking for passage to Lipari from Naples on the 23 in the afternoon. I'm traveling with a companion and we arrive in Naples from Rome at 10:40 AM. I can read a little Italian, how can I access the time tables? Thanks, Francisco.

To Staffanell: If you e-mail SNAV they speak English. Also for TTT lines you can contact www.traghettionline.net. They are an agency and speak English. Even though TTT lines owner is a cousin of ours, I can still honestly say they're good. We took them last year. We're taking SNAV next month.
