Just published our web page about our trip in May to Emilia Romagna in Italy. We visited Bologna, Parma, Modena, Mantua and Ferrara.
Here is the link:

Hope it can be of assistance to those planning a trip to this area of Italy.

Great report! Thanks for sharing the information about your trip.
Do you think it's possible to visit Georgio's for the balsamic tour without a car? We will be staying in Bologna and plan to visit Modena by train. It looks like it's possible to walk there from the train station??
Thanks!

modeen14 - we just returned to georgio's last month and it seems like a bit of a walk... maybe take a taxi? i know they will be happy to get you another taxi after... maybe even drop you off (they're so nice.) oh my... we bought quite a bit and are really enjoying it. i am mad for their new juniper variety. didn't love their 'carlotta'... and wanted to love it, as it's named for their daughter.

Modeen: it's 2.6 KM from the train station. I suggest a taxi.
Jean: Thanks for the correction. You are absolutely right, and it's already been corrected. Piemonte is our favorite place in Italy, so maybe it was a Freudian slip.
You get a 10 from me for reading comprehension!
