Oslo & Stockholm - Around 7 Days tour

Hello Everyone,
My Husband & I are planning to go on a holiday primarily to (at this point) Oslo & Stockholm. For 6 to 7 days of tour. Both of us are adventurous & love travelling, visiting new places.
Could anyone help me with your recommendations on the most important places to visit & how many days we should spend in these 2 places? We will be using public transport like bus/train/trams.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Stockholm is very mass transit friendly and walkable as well. We enjoyed the Vasa Museum. In addition the neighborhoods of Norrmalm and Galma Stan (very historic) are nice. Skanska is a cool "town" that recreates life, economies, animals, homes, etc of Scandinavia over the centuries.

Buy transit passes in both cities. If you are a senior you'll receive a discount on the passes.
Both are wonderful cities to explore.
Oslo: Viking Ship Museum, Vigeland Sculpture Park among many sights to see.
Stockholm: City Hall, Drottingholm Palace( go there via boat)
Islands in the archipelago, Millesgarden( sculpture garden at home of home of sculptor Carl Milles, Vasa Museum, Gamla Stan(old town)
Both are beautiful cities. Enjoy!

It really depends on what YOU want to see and do, but in general, I think you might want a bit more time in Stockholm than in Oslo, and if you can do 7 (or more) days rather than 6, I don't think you'll regret it. (Stockholm itself can easily merit 5 days.) That said, you would probably do well to consult some good guidebooks (well worth the investment, IMO, but you can also check your local library), decide what most interests you and note opening hours, then lay your ideas out on a calendar along with transportation information. Then see how everything fits together.

Ejoy!
