Oslo-Flam-Borgund-Balestrand in one day?
We'll be in Scandinavia this summer. We plan to do Norway in a Nutshell from Oslo to Bergen, where we will visit friends for a few days. We'd really like to see the stave church in Borgund. Would it work to take the early train from Oslo, arrive in Flam, rent a car or take a taxi to Borgund, then get back to Flam in time to take the last ferry to Balestrand to stay there? I know it's a lot for one day but we're motivated and energetic and don't have much time. Thoughts? Advice?

I don't know. It's less than an hour away by car.

There is car hire in Flåm - http://discoverflam.com/flam-car-rental/?lang=en
Ask the tourist office - https://www.visitflam.com/en/
'last ferry to Balestrand' ? just how many ferries do you think there are?
