Orvieto: Help me choose hotel

Jump to last reply

I have slaved over a hotel in Orvieto, narrowed down the choices to 4, and don't know which to pick. This is just for one night, after arriving in Orvieto from PHL > FCO > Termini > Orvieto. I really want to be comfortable and wake up some place pleasant on my 60th birthday, the next morning. I definitely want a full service hotel after the grueling travel. Not interested in a b+b for this leg.

I've received these offers:

Palazzo Piccolomini, 120 Euro
Hotel Corso, 95 Euro
Hotel Duomo, 110 for a standard, and 130 for a jr. suite, but I'm not going for the suite.
Hotel Valentino, 80

The Corso and Valentino are about equal in tripadvisor and venere ratings. Neither looks that wonderful.

Is it the Duomo or Palazzo Piccolomini? What do you think?
