Ortisei hotel - need help in choosing the perfect place for our needs

Jump to last reply

I am in the planning stages of our trip to Vienna, Bad Hofgastein, and ending with 6 days in Ortisei to explore the Dolomites.

For our stay in Ortisei we would prefer a hotel with breakfast only, not half board, as we would like to sample the local restaurants. Also, we are not very big eaters and we find that half board meals are just too much for us.

I have been searching hotels on the internet, concentrating on Garni hotels to avoid half board. There seem to be many to choose from. However, I always feel safer if a hotel is well recommended by someone who has stayed there. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone with previous experience in Ortisei or any other comment that may be helpful. Thanks in advance.

P.S. If the hotel had an indoor pool. that would be great (but almost impossible?)
