One week Rural Spain in November

Jump to last reply

My long and convoluted process of planning our upcoming October/November trip continues.

10 nights in Paris and then a flight to Spain with an itinerary of cities:Sevilla, Cordoba, Toledo, Madrid, Salamanca. Trip lasting until November 22, Spain seemed like the best chance for decent weather. We had thought about the Caceres/Trujillo area or further south.

Looking for a 5 day stay out of a city where we can do some easy hiking, cycling, touring with rental car. Thinking about Caceres/Trujillo area or further south and a rental or finca where we can spread out. Our best ever vacation was a rental in Villes sur Auzon in Provence. A small village where we could walk out the door and jump on our bikes and easily ride out of town into beautiful country yet with enough interesting places to explore by car. Does that ring a bell for anyone out there? We will be in Spain for a total of 20 nights.

We have been to Spain 1x previously, 3 weeks total- Barcelona, Granada, Sevilla, Madrid, Nerja, Ubeda, Ronda, El Torcal. We loved the El Torcal area, we were indifferent to Nerja and Ronda.

We plan on trains but have no problem driving.
