One tip for October 2014 in Madrid

Tapapiés takes place each October in the multicultural district of Lavapiés and offers participants the opportunity to try a range of 75 cheap tapas including Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Caribbean, Moroccan, Brazilian and more, at 60 different bars in the area. The concept of top crossed our borders, reflecting the cultural and ethnic diversity of Lavapiés.
The deal is that each participating restaurant has one special tapa designated for the event and it only cost 1 euro. If you buy a botellín (mini bottle of beer) or a caña (small glass of beer) it's only 2 euro for both.
Besides good food, we also enjoy good music. So there will be 60 free outdoor concerts scattered around the main streets and squares of the neighborhood, from noon until the evening on Saturdays 18 and 25 and Sunday 19 and 26 October.
Spanish groups of rock & roll and jazz, among other styles, alternate with world music in addition to theater performances, ethnic dances and even a street circus, will enliven the atmosphere of tapas in this culinary event.
An appointment that is sure to exceed 100,000 attendees and 300,000 tapas sold in its 2013 edition.
When: 16 to 26 October 2014. Getting there: Metro line # 3, the yellow one, direction to Villaverde Alto. Nonstop from Puerta del Sol to Lavapiés.
