One night in Rome--Which restaurant?

I will have one night only in Rome--my last night of a first-time stay in Italy this August. So I would like "the last supper" to be perfect (at least within the realm of the constraints I list below)...

Here's my criteria--It must be in or close to Piazza Navona, and because of my budget, under 50 euro (for one person-I'm travelling alone).

Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

tania

La Tartaruga,via del Monte della Farina 53, 06 686 9473, closed Mon.
Sept 01, I had dinner two nights in a row at the same restaurant--I've never done that anywhere before. The address is a small street that starts next to the church of St Andrea della Valle, immediately south of Corso Vittorio Emmanuelle, near the Pantheon/Piazza Navona area. What a great little restaurant! It is family-run, and the same family owns a farm in Tuscany where they produce their own olive oil and wine vinegar. All the food was outstanding on both nights and as simple as it sounds, the mandarine (tangerine) sorbet was to die for. Cost for one, full meal plus a glass of wine and coffee, was about $40 US and worth twice that.
Tania-
We had a delicious dinner at Passetto (Via Zanardelli 14) in February (our last night in Rome, too). We were staying across the street at Hotel Genio. It is just around the corner and extremely close to Piazza Navona.
Have a great time in Italy!
Byrd
Elaine,

Thanks SO much for the heads up! I did a Rome restaurant search on this site, and the average user rating for it was 4.8!! I read each review, and I marvelled at how blown away people were by La Tartaruga's excellence, given its relatively reasonable prices.

Unless anyone can suggest something even more irresistable, it looks like "the last supper" will be at La Tartaruga.

tania
