It's actually not even one full day. I will have free time after12 noon when I finish work, to explore Copenhagen. What are the few must sees I should concentrate on? They have already taken us on a boat tour and the old Stock Exchange for dinner. I saw a few things on the way, including the little mermaid. I will most likely be alone, unless someone joins me at the last minute, which means that Tivoli gardens are out. Or, maybe, not? If you can recommend a nice casual restaurant that serves authentice Danish food that would be great.
Thanks a lot for your help.
One day in Copenhagen--what to see

It's a great walking city, when the weather is right. The pedestrianized shopping area is great people watching and nice shops, muscicians. There's also rows of restaurants at nearby canals, with lots of outdoor seating ,and people wandering about, playing guitars, etc. That would be a great place to have lunch, just pick a spot based on what you see people eating.
Another possibility is to rent a bicycle, there are designated lanes and we found it to be a comfortable way to see the town on the second day of our stay, as we did the hop on, hop off bus tour the first day.
