OMG! Just realized I'll be in London the same time as Raider Nation

Jump to last reply

I went to the 49er game at Wembley last year. In the back of my mind I knew the Oakland Raiders were playing there this Fall. But I didn't realize it was THIS weekend. Regent Street will be closed on Saturday and if it is anything like last year it will be a total zoo.

This was the earlier Steeler game last year - more than half a million people!! Steeler fans are one thing, but the Black Hole (!). (for non-NFL fans, the Black Hole are the most rabid Raider fans -- and they are REALLY rabid even though the team is a hot mess). Folks wandering in the area Fri/Sat . . . be afraid, be very afraid >)

I'll stay far away from Piccadilly Circus/Regent St/Oxford Circus.

(The Niner/Jaguar game's festivities later in the season were mostly in Trafalgar Square.)
