Just to make you jealous (well some people). I am the proud owner of two mens semi final tickets this Friday. It is a dream come true, now all I need is the right results. The dream line up would have been Nadal (already out) v Murray, (about to go) and Federer v Djokovic. But I suspect it will be Tsonga v Ferrer and Federer v Djokovic. I am making a weekend of it and seeing Will Young on the Saturday in Kew Gardens - but the forecast is not brilliant at all. Still I will make the most of it.
off to wimbledon semi finals

it DOES sound like fun.
I wouldn't count Murray out yet. If he get's his head on right. Have fun. Have been watching it by the hour--and now I have the Tour to contend with also!!
well I am jealous - my guy was humiliated....Nadal fan....now it has to be Federer. Great fun for you, enjoy.....

Our deepest commiserations.
With a weekend free in the World's Greatest City (TM), you're prepared to squander your time on the World's Most Pointless Non-personality.
Hi steve,
lucky you! years ago we had tickets for both men's semi-finals and finals days - and no Will Young concert! [don't think he was born then!]
it is not a myth that things are very expensive in the grounds - even sweets - so here are the rules about what you can bring in:

have a wonderful time.
Well, Nadal really did get BEAT--no doubt about it. And it turns out to a one match wonder.
Brian Baker sounds like he might be the real deal though - his story is one of the more interesting of the championships so far.
talking of Murray, we saw Ivan Lendl in the semi-final we watched [i can't remember the other one] and Pat Cash won the final - and then climbed up on the stands in order to get to his family. sadly, after all these years that's about al i can remember!
Luck you!
I tend to agree flanneruk, but hey life is full of compromises ... me tennis, she Will Young. We do get to London a fair bit so we make up for it at other times.
I suspect the Cash v Lendl final was a rather plodding affair although I cant quite see Cash in that equation - I did see the match and it was probably eclipsed by the ending (not a dry eye in my house). Murray hasnt the mind for tennis - I watched him implode last year on the back of a missed backhand smash that went long - I cant see him beating Ferrer.
steve - do you know I'd forgotten that it was Lendl that Cash defeated? no memory of it at all. [perhaps because it wasn't much of a match].
do I actually remember him climbing up there? or just remember it because I've seen him do it so often on TV? who knows? I do know that i was 6 months pregnant at the time so DD always gets told that she was there!
Murray? who knows? he is technically capable of beating anyone on his day, but his head is in the wrong place so much of the time, as you point out.
