Off to Nice on Friday.for 1 week

Jump to last reply

I've packed ice cube trays. I'll wear my raincoat on the plane and pack a lighter jacket. I have my "rent money", I have my Ipad all ready and a new android phone for my pictures (need to figure out how to email them...but I'll that the online tutorial tonight maybe), but have my wee Canon camera "in case". I can lift my wheeled suitcase over my head with one arm so I've packed light. (or I will repack light, didn't buy clothes just for the trip still have to come to work this week!). I have Fodor's book, Michelin's book, Eye-On, Rick Steves book so between them all I have a pretty good idea how to keep myself occupied PLUS spend my valuable vacation time sitting on the terraces with a beverage...hehe)

I get off the plane with my carry-on at probably terminal 2 (I read). There is a bus "station" there where I can buy the equivalent of a carnet. I find bus 98 and that will supposedly take me to Vielle Ville Nice where my apartment is. Google mapped it, area looks a bit seedy but hey? It will be locals and full of character! Rue de la Croix.

I plan on the train trip up to Menton one day and another south towards Cannes. I have inferred that I can jump off and jump on again at my whim...

Any advice, errors in my thinking...suggestions?? All gratefully accepted and thanks.
