We arrive in Malta Oct 18 for a few days. This will be our first time in this area. We are currently looking to stay in Gozo. So far, we haven't made any hotel reservations. Still looking. Not sure if I should worry about that or not considering the time of year that we are traveling should not be as crowded. I hope we're right.
So, any suggestions on where to go and what to do would be appreciated.
Thanks
October trip for a few days in Malta/Gozo

Hi Patti11
Although it is low season I would always suggest to book in advance so as not to be disappointed
Whilst you are in Gozo you can visit the following attractions:
Ggantija Temples - in Xaghra (the oldest free standing buildings in the world)
The Citadel (it contains a number of museums and a Cathedral)in Victoria the capital city of Gozo and the capital itself.
Dwejra Bay - is home to some breathaking views
Ta Pinu Cathedral - Limits of Gharb Gozo
Ta Cenc is a place of natural beauty
Xlendi and Marsalforn are great to dine and unwind next to the sea. There are a couple of good restaurants and bars.
If you like to explore the countryside I suggest that you visit Gharb Gozo (the village is charming and you can and the countryside is breathaking) and follow the Ta Gurdan walk. There other walks which you can take Gozo is full of fantastic landscapes.
By the way Gozo is famous for its diving sites.
I hope you enjoy your holiday.

Great thanks. We are in the process of making reservations for a place to stay. We plan on renting a car so that we can really explore. Thanks so much for these great tips.
Hi FestiveMalta.. would you happen to have some recommendations for places to stay while in Gozo? Something with a view is always desirable. Thanks ~ Patti11
Hi FestiveMalta
Do you know anything about these places: San Antonio Guest House – Xlendi and Inn Il Girna Residence -Sannat. Which one would be a better location for a first time vistor. Thanks ~
Hi Patti11
Sorry I am replying a bit late.
Both San Antonio Guest House and Il Girna Residence seem to be nice places. Many people have commented positively on the service and rooms.
San Antonio may be is a bit better due to its location. In Xlendi there are a number of restaurants and the sea is two minutes away from the guest house.
But since you are renting a car location is no problem since distances in Gozo are very small.
May be these hotels might interest you as well :

You MUST check out the Hypogeum in Valetta. We visited there on a cruise but you must make reservations in advance as only 8 people an hour are allowed in. We LOVED Malta, so hope you enjoy it.
jan47ete - Thanks for that tip. I'm going to try and see if we can fit this into our schedule. We can't wait for our Malta/Gozo adventure to start.
