Occupying the halflings in Madrid and Barcelona; Spanair

Jump to last reply

We have a strong possibility of going to Madrid and Barcelona in September and October. In addition to the major tourist sites that we're going to drag the hobbits to (although we'll have imported babysitters in Madrid -- grandparents -- so the dragging may be less), what kid friendly places would be nice to explore in each city?

At the time of the trip, the boy will be just over 4 and his sister will be 19 months.

On another topic, any feedback on Spanair would be appreciated. Is it another hide-the-extra-charge airline like RyanAir or more reasonable like Vueling seems to be? This would be for the Madrid-Barca trip. (Trains are nearly as much for one person as the flight is for everyone so unless you know of a great coupon deal, we'll fly).

Thanks in advance.
