Nyons, France, to Cuneo, Turin, and return to Geneva

I have posted part of this question in the France forum, so my apologies for double posting.

We plan to spend two weeks in Nyons, France, and are toying with the idea of driving into Italy for 5 days. Our plan would be to spend two nights in Cuneo, three in Turin, and then spend a couple of days driving back to Geneva for our return home.

Is that a reasonable plan? What suggestions are there for Cuneo and Turin?

Thanks, in advance, for the kindness of your replies.
Lynn

small comment... For your 2 days in Geneva at the end of the trip, I suggest staying out on Lac Leman instead of in the city proper.

It's very easy to reach the Geneva airport by train from towns like Lausanne, Vevey, or Montreux. And I find those much more picturesque, beautiful, authentic, interesting than staying right in Geneva proper.
