With the caveat that this GTG, lovely though it will be, pales in the shadow of rhkkmk's Boston extravaganza. (And apologies for usurping this board with a post about New York City-!)
I cannot believe I am missing this by one day!!! Arggghhh!!!
lincasanova, what a shame! So close, and yet so far...
(I'm secretly hoping that somehow your plans will change!)
I should have kept up on the thread. I'm booked out of PHL now the 10th.. so it'll have to be another time. My fault.
I've been contemplating attending the Boston GTG, but frightened of Mr. Rhk? Now that he is coming to This Aug.11 GTG in NYC, maybe I can get Mr. TT to come to NYC. Then I can get a preview of how scary rhk is. I might get enough courage to go to Boston, what do you think??
i am really harmless... you will see on 8/11...
come to boston we have tons of fun
Yes, better to meet rhkkmk on neutral turf. In Boston, where he rules the roost, who knows what might happen??

Personally, I think it takes courage just to go to Boston, if you're a New Yorker.
// Bob, thanks for the email. Will reply shortly!
// And lincasanova, don't feel bad: that thread on the US board had gotten fairly complex! We really need to start a new one so that the dates are clear. I'm sure it'll be tough to do, but you'll manage to have a great time stateside without us.
GGreen: will it help that I am really from Connecticut, which could be considered neutral territory??
Well TT, since you've spent time on both sides of the border, it sounds like you're acclimated! Neutral territory is always a good place from which to get a lay of the land.
Just make sure you have all your shots up to date!
Hope you will have name tags so we can all see who everyone is. One of the best parts of a GTG is putting a face to that on line name. We are looking forward to our time in the big apple.
have fun everyone! I'm missing so many GTGs it seems. PHL.. NYC. and I am so near! Darn! Hopefully next time!
I'll check to see if I can make it.
Lincasanova,
Are you near NJ? If so, maybe we can plan a mini get together!
