Nun's Head Cemetery
I’ve been trying to find out some information on how to reach Nun(s) Head, a cemetery somewhere in the southern part of London (or is it outside London?)
Has anyone been there, and how the heck do you do it without umpteen transfers between Tube, bus, and, is BritRail part of the formula?
Also, for those who have been there, is it great or mediocre? In comparison with Kensal Green, Highgate, Brompton?

Nunhead Cemetery is wonderful. Nunhead train station about 2 blocks from the entrance.
There are a couple of bus lines that would also get you there from Central London. try the Transport for London website's journey planner for details/times.

Another qestion, my last search took me far from Central London but I just saw a photo supposedly taken from Nunhead with St. Paul's in the background. Does anyone know, is it THAT close, if so I was miles off!

Yep - that's the place. Nunhead cemetary is sort of on the edge of Camberwell. Don't know exactly which borough it's in, but it is south of the river not too far from Rotherhite/Bermondsey in SE London.
