November or October for Andalucia/Portugal?

I would like to go in November as I don't like the heat, and I feel there is a higher chance of hot weather in Andalucia... I also plan on going to Portugal for a few days... Does it rain in Lisbon a lot in November? Which of these months do you recommend?

By November Andalusia shouldn't be too hot - but the days will be fairly short.

Where in Portugal - and what to see/do?

As for rain - can be anywhere/any time. I would check the wether history sites for perspective.

And I meant there is a higher chance of hot weather in October... I was checking Seville weather in October for the last few years, some years had temperatures in the upper 20s and approaching 30C.

The weather in Andalucia in Oct. will be pleasantly warm, not hot. Chillier in Nov. but still pleasant.

Bedar, how do you define pleasantly warm? For me that around 15C-24C... Anything 26C and up, I would not like.

Or, go in Dec. or Jan. The coldest I've ever been anywhere was winter in Andalucia.

There is usually much higher chance of rain in November than October, but last year saw some very wet days in October with local flooding (I was caught in it in Seville). So you just can't generalise. As for temperatures, Seville rarely drops below a high of 25C in October, with occasional 30C. It will be a bit cooler along the coast, between 22 and 27C.

What about Portugal? are the various gardens in Sintra still good to see in November?

The rain is scaring me - if there are days in November that could possibly be washouts... I feel like I should go in October even though I would much prefer November temperatures
