Norway whale watching....

My husband and I are well seasoned travelers going to Norway for the first time in the last week of September. We are flying in and out of Oslo and having much debate over the itinerary.
Here is my husband's schedule:

0. Thursday. TPA to Oslo

1. Friday-Sunday Oslo.

2, Monday. Oslo-Geilo 149 miles.

3. Tuesday. to Bergen 149 miles.

4. Wednesday. Bergen

5. Thursday. to Voss.

6. Friday. to Geiranger area. 130 miles.

7. Saturday. to Alesund. 69 miles

8. Sunday. Lillehamer. 236 mils

9. Monday. to Oslo Airport 115 miles.

10. Tuesday. Depart home
However, I very much want to go see whales near Tromso/Lofoten Islands and have a northern lights excursion. The airfare Oslo to Tromso is reasonable, except I can't seem to figure out the rest of the plan. We are renting a car and are ok with doing most of this ourselves.
Can someone help me out here? I very much subscribe to the philosophy of "there is always another trip if it is too much to cram in. So, just be brutally honest with me and I will put this baby to rest. Thanks everyone in advance.
