NORMANDY TRIPS (+ Madrid)

Jump to last reply

Hello all you wonderful people at Fodors. Around December I am going over to France to stay with my girlfriend in Normandy. She will be at university most of the time so I though I might try do some day trips around this beautiful part of the country to keep me busy. I would love to hear any suggestions you might have of what is good to do and see (keep in mind, it will be winter). I'll be in Caen, so just along the coast. I'm already planning on going to Mont Saint Michele for the day, as I have always dreamed of seeing it. But besides from that I'm not quite sure what else to do. I really like beautiful scenery and nice European architecture of course.

On a side note. We're staying with her friend in Madrid for about a week in February. Does anyone have any tips of cool, interesting things to do there that the average person may not know about?

Thank you and I look forward to hearing your replies :)
