Normandy
My family and I are visiting France for the first time. This really is a business trip for my husband but we are tagging along and are arriving in Paris 3 days prior to my husband's associates. It is very important for my son to visit Normandy. He is a World War II history buff. Everything that I've read so far says that its difficult to visit Normandy in just one day. However, if that is all the time we have does anyone have any suggestions on how to visit Normandy in one day. We will be coming by train from Paris.

I am assuming you will be taking the train to Bayeux.
From here you can take a taxi to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery.
Have the taxi come and pick you up at a certain time and then go over Arromanche and visit the D- Day Museum and 360 Cinema.
Alternatively you can book a tour guide, who will stay with you all day and explain all about the Memorials and D-Day.
With the tour guide you can maximize your time.
No need for me to explain anything about D- Day as your son is a WWII History Buff.

I would not go to Bayeux, or book a taxi. I'd go to Caen by train and pre-book a van tour with the Mémorial museum, then take the train back from Caen.
An alternative is to book a day-long (VERY long) trip from Paris with ParisVision or another major tour company. About 16 hours total, half of it on a bus.
