I did an evening walking tour of Ancient Rome with Enjoy Rome (www.enjoyrome.com). I did it on my first night on my first trip to Rome. It was nice for orientation and to give me a reason to stay awake all day. I still revisited all of the sites from that tour during the day.
On my second trip, I did an evening tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere with Enjoy Rome. I thought it was pretty interesting because I didn't really explore either that much on my first trip. Once again, it helped to orient me, which was helpful since I was staying close to the Jewish Ghetto.
