Hello
Planning a summer trip and am staying in St. Julians area.. What's the closest sandy beach for my kids??
I'd rather not drive all the way to Melieha (How far is it?)
Any one visit St. George's Bay beach??
We'll have a car.
Thanks very much!

The beach in St Julian's is quite nice and is probably the best kept beach on the island. However, it is quite small. The beaches around Mellieha are much nicier and by car it's only half an hour drive. The one beneth the village of Mellieha is the biggest one on the island and is great for children since it remains shallow for some 100 meters. A little further afield there is Golden Bay, a bit smaller that the one at Mellieha but nicer. Around the corner from Golden Bay there is another very nice sand beach - the only drawback is that you have to walk down ( and up)some 80 steps to get to it. Other nice beaches you may want to try are Armier, Gnejna and Paradice Bay.
Thanks so much.. I will probably go to St. Julians then the first days, then venture up to Melieha and the others if it's only 30 minutes and we have a car
Any particularly good places to get pizza in St. Julians/Sliema area??
There are plenty of pizzerias in these areas. The following are among the most popular:
In Sliema - Cuccagna, Pasta Mania and Piccola Padre while in St Julian's - Rokna, Bloomers and Paparazzi.
In both towns there is also Pizza Hut
