Nice: A Breath Taking Getaway

Nice, situated on the south east coast of France, is the second largest French city on the coast of Mediterranean sea. Nice is known as Nice La Belle which means Nice the Beautiful. Nice has been the place of retreat for artists, poets, actors and philosophers, inspiring and relaxing their creative minds. This enchanting city gets sunshine all throughout the year, making it a heaven for beach lovers. Those who love beach time are often seen spending some lazy time on the beaches that curve along the magnificent blue sea.

Local cuisine is a lip-smacking treat for taste buds of food lovers. Cuisine that Nice offers is a delicious blend of French fineness and Mediterranean earthiness. A wide variety of herbs are used with olive oil, adding an exquisite flavour to cuisine of Nice.

Chateau
Parc De La Colline Du Chateau was the original site of city. The castle hill was entirely dismantled by the soldiers of the French king Loius XIV in 1706. Once it was a glorious citadel but today it is a maze of greenery. This place is worth a visit as it offers an amazing view of Mediterranean Sea, Old Nice and the port. It looks splendid at night due to spectacular lighting. There some surprisingly attractive waterfalls.

Cours saleya
One must take walk around Cours Saleya, when they are in Nice. A bustling open air market place with many vendors is open all throughout the week. One will never forget the sights, sounds and smells of Cours Saleya. One who loves antiques can buy antiques here.

Place du Palais
Palais de la Justice or Place du Palais is law courts located in Nice. The square is notable for city clock and picturesque buildins.

One must visits places like Place Massena, Place Garibaldi, Place Rossetti, the port and Opera de Nice. Nice is also home to some incredible art museums. Nice will be an unforgettable getaway.
