News of Switzerland --
According to some weather sites, Gstaad has a chance of light snow on Thursday, and Interlaken has a chance of snow on Tuesday. Yahoo!!
Also, from the Montreux webcam at www.hotel-splendid.ch, it looks like the city is beginning to set up its Marche de Noel.
Yup, I'm desperate for a Swiss escape!
Any other news??

Hi, S! Here are two sites which, if you don't know them already, might ease your pain a bit. I've just finished reading the "have you thought of moving" thread, and there you were! Hope you're having a fine Saturday morning. It's chilly here; almost feels like the June mornings in Switzerland I remember fondly from the old days (before the planet started heating up.) J.

jw, I was hoping you'd be popping up today! Thanks for the links -- it'll help! Liked your comments about feeling "blue" in a red state -- clever you! I'm in the same boat.
G'hopper -- aren't you on the road?? Git going! Or is that tomorrow? Yup, 44 days (but who's counting). I *know* this snow won't stick, but it's lovely just to think of the possibility of a white-ish Christmas.

I did not realise it is so close to your Switzerland vacation, s! I hope you'll have a White Christmas in Gstaad.
And we had the first snow in the hills near Dresden yesterday! Yahoo! More snow expected for the next days. I love it

Hi S!
WE just returned from a whirlwind trip to Luzern, Verbier and Sion. Had a great time and it felt nice being in der Schweiz again. It was very cloudy most of the time, but once in the mountains, things cleared up nicely.

It's so nice to see you pop up now 'n again here! Of course, with Thanksgiving coming up, my thoughts are going back to 2002 -- could it really have been two whole years ago?? I'm still enjoying my memories!
