New Years Eve
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to know your guys opinion on where to spend new years. My Options are
1. Vienna
2. Bratislava
3. Budapest
I plan on staying around 4 nights in each location also.
What is the best place for a single guy to go and have fun and get out of the states.
Thanks alot!!

What kind of NYE are you wanting? Club scene? Bars? That might help people fine-tune what you're looking for.
With that said, because you stated you want to stay 4 days in each location, you may want to consider shortening your time in Bratislava. The city is charming, but there is really only about a days worth to see, unless you plan on taking day trips. Be mindful that it will likely be snowy or rainy in ALL of these locations that time of year.
BTW, you tagged "Slovenia." Bratislava is in Slovakia.

I don't really know personally as I haven't been to any of them at NY, but I'd vote for Budapest given my impression of Vienna

@Travel_nerd - maybe a nice bar or club nothing to loud. I have about 14-16 days of vacation I need to burn so that's why I planned for 4 nights in each place. Do you have another recommendation? I just found out I'll be moving to northern Japan so the winter won't be too much of an issue. Oh and I don't know how to edit the original post, I just a "Slov" and tagged it lol.
@Christina - Thanks for the link!!
@Bedar - A ball would be awesome, but to go stag?

There are loads of bars and pubs in all those locations. Can't tell you what would be loud or not since I have never been to NYE anywhere but the US (and even then...I stay home - too many drunks) and some establishments might be closed.
But, here is: http://www.wien.info/en/music-stage-shows/new-years-eve For Vienna ideas.
Bratislava: http://www.amazing-slovakia.com/pack...-bratislava/14
I did both of those by using Google (so handy!) and there might be more if you did a little.
I think overall for your time overseas, limiting your destinations to three cities is plenty, but that may depend on what you want to do/see. So, add time in both Vienna and Budapest and do more day trips. But if you truly want to add somewhere else, please provide some information about your interests to assist you further. Otherwise, figure on two nights in Bratislava (don't really need it as Bratislava really can be a day trip from Vienna), but if you decide to overnight there, limit it to two nights.
What I meant by the weather is if you plan on going to day trips that are not accessible by public transportation (train) and are dependent on road travel (bus or car), you might get into delays or cancellation due to weather conditions rather than if you can handle the colder weather.
