New traffic regulations in Spain

This post is to remind you that new traffic regulations will be enforced in Spain from 9th May 2014.

Not all the regulations will be of concern to the visitor to Spain. But most will be.
Some of these regulations are alarming to say the least. Like a Guardia Civil (Policeman) does not have to stop you if they feel you have done some sort of infringement. You will just get a fine sent to you. No doubt the car hire company will be more than happy to forward you the costs!
