Greece appears to be getting many positive write ups in the British press. It is possible that so many people have skipped it for the past 3 years, it is now seen as the time to revisit.
Riots in Athens was never going to boost tourism, even if the violence was 100s miles away from a Corfu beach.
Good to see.

When we arrived in Athens Sept. 2013, we were slightly worried about "riots." But it was kinda a joke. The "riots" were demonstrators unhappy about the government but in no way a problem (other than traffic).
I hope tourism picks up in Greece, it's a great place to visit.

2013 was the best year in the history of Greek tourism with 17,5 Million visitors.
This year the number will climb to 19 Million tourists according to experts.
This is of course only positive for the Greek economy .
