need votes on side trip during one month in paris [swiss alps or marrakech]

Jump to last reply

my husband and i will be in paris for a month and are having a hard time deciding where to go on our second side trip. we have already booked a room in chateaux arpentis in the loire valley to see check out the castles there and do a little wine tasting for a long weekend. but for our second trip, we're not sure whether we should go somewhere warm or embrace the cold weather. we are looking to go somewhere for 3 nights / 4 days.

here are two options:

swiss alps - the cambrian hotel in adelboden, switzerland.
pros: gorgeous views of the mountains, good balance of spa = relaxing and snowboarding = adventure, not super touristy
cons: more cold weather, pricey @ $450/night, 6 hour drive from paris

marrakech, morocco - not sure which hotel yet
pros: warm weather, exotic, inexpensive and easy to get to by plane
cons: another busy city to check out (not so relaxing), we may want to spend more than 3 nights / 4 days there? would have to pack spring/summery clothes
