Need private driver from Izmir airport to hotel on Bodrum Peninsula

Jump to last reply

New glitch in my travel plans. I had hoped that the cortisone injection into the front of my right hip would work miracles. It has not. I had hoped a travel cane might do something. Not doing the trick. So...

..we're scratching our Ephesus touring plans to get down to the Bodrum Peninsula sooner rather than later. I can't change my flight to Izmir, so I'm stuck with that. No direct flights from Izmir to Bodrum that I can find; the one-stops cost around 800 or so.

Worst-case scenario--Take shuttle to Izmir Otogar and then bus it to Bodrum. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch.
Scenario we don't want--Renting a car
Best-case scenario--Get a driver to take us immediately from the airport to our newly-booked hotel in Yalikavak.

In case anyone is wondering why I just don't scratch the whole trip, this might be the last time I get to see my beloved uncle and Turkish aunt, who are staying in Gundogan for the summer. In fact, these new plans would allow more of a visit; and my pace will exactly match theirs now, which I guess is a positive.

So has ANYONE used a shuttle service or a private driver to get ONE WAY down to Bodrum?

Thank you ahead of time for any help.
