Need Paris Hotel

We will be in Paris for two nights Dec 26-27 and I need to book a hotel for the two nights. We check the Jeanne d'Arc and they are booked. I have Rick Steves book with his recommendations. We are looking for a 2 or 3 star double for about 80-90 Euros. I would appreciate a little advice for all you Paris experts. Thanks.

Last year I stayed at Hotel de Fleurie. 3 star in Saint Germain des Pres, 6th district. Very quaint, small bath but all marble. I thought it was reasonable and I believe I paid 80-100 euros? www.hotel-de-fleurie.tm.fr
Oh, the man who was at the front desk was a bit uptight, but who cares! Good Luck!

Fantastic location, helpful hosts, etc. Their current rate is about 85 Euros per night and then 7 E each for breakfast. We never order the breakfast because of the great bakery just around the corner.

Check out the Hotel France web site. They have sitings for discounts at a number of decent Paris hotels that fall into your budget range. Some of them are actually very nice. They allow you to search by location within Paris, so you have a lot more options to choose from.

That's a version of www.hotelclub.net, which might be a bit easier to use.

Also like www.hotelsearch-in-paris.com; it's fairly comprehensive.

Other favorite sites are:
www.france-hotel-guide.com
www.parishotels.com
but they don't put the 'availability' option up front (but good pix).

Hi
Look into the hotel de Lys (rue Serpente)Phone 1-43 26 97 57 Reservations accepted by telephone weekdays 9am to noon local time

and the Residence Monge www.hotelmonge.com

both seem to be simple but pleasant hotels which receive praise here and at

The Hotel du College de France, in the Latin Quarter, meets your requirements (but may also be booked, this close to your dates).
