Need help wading thru London lodging

Jump to last reply

I'm pretty certain I've opted for a hotel for our 10th anniversary trip to London, rather than a flat rental. However, I'm a bit dizzy after looking at listings and hotels. Hubby says it really doesn't matter because when traveling we tend to spend very little time where we lodge. I agree, however, would like something "nice" for this occasion. Two of the best places we've stayed so far in both accommodations and service was the Grand Hyatt in Seattle and Waldorf Astoria in Chicago. If I could find something similar,(large windows, comfy seating, spacious marble bath with separate standing shower) that would be great. We'll be there in Jan. My preferred budget is 1,500 usd for 5 nights, but willing to go to 2K.

My short list includes:

St. Ermins
InterContiental Westminster
Park Plaza Westminster
Royal Horseguards

Anyone familiar enough with these four hotels to help me cull the list? I'm open to considering others.

Thanks in advance,
CDG
