Need help in planning 4 days in Liguria

Jump to last reply

I am reaching out for ideas and assistance in planning my upcoming trip to Liguria.

We are traveling to Rapallo in mid October. This will be my second stay there and this time there are two other couples visiting with us. As the planning always falls to me, I am looking for ideas.

I plan to take the ferry one day to show everyone SML and Portofino, then would like to visit Camogli another day. I believe that is by bus. Does this bus leave from the train station?

Are there market days in Rapallo and SML as we enjoy the public markets?

Can you recommend non touristy moderately priced restaurants in SML and Rapallo? How about wine bars?

I quite enjoyed Le Spezia and we may take a rip there. Thoughts?

I have always wanted to visit Sestri Levante. Is this a good choice to spend a morning?

If we want to hike a bit between two of the hill towns, which do you suggest?

Do you suggest a visit to Portovenere? I remember this as being a lovely place to visit.

Is there a public transport pass that would save us a bit of money since we are there for a few days?

We will obviously not do all of these things but I am trying to figure out which would be most enjoyable.

Thanks for any insight.
