Hi, we are family of 2 adults & 2 kids 12 & 14 years, we will be arriving in Paris via Eurostar on 9th June by 9.30am & our check in is by 3 pm at an apartment in Address:

131 AVENUE DE FLANDRE, 75019 Paris, France please suggest us what can we do between our arrival & check in time. We had book Eiffel tour ticket at 7.30 pm

Similarly day after our check out is by 10am & our train to Nice from austerlitz station is at 9.20pm please suggest how to utilize the in between time

I'm baffled as to why you are going to Paris if you don't know anything about the city except the Eiffel Tower.

It would be easier if you had included something about your interests but in their absence I can only give you my list of what interests me. Here's what I would do with 3 days.

While Adrienne's list is certainly worthy, it is a list of someone who has been to Paris many times and has seen most of the typical sights. My list would be different as would that of almost everyone on the forum.

Refer to the "Destinations" tab at the top of this page and you will find plenty of ideas. Do you like museums? If so, visit the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Churches? Visit Notre Dame and Ste Chapelle. Parks? Walk through the Luxembourg Gardens and the Tuilleries. Take a Seine River cruise.

What is your apartment check in time? You will have to drag your luggage with you until you can get into your apartment. Suggest you might explore your neighborhood and, if possible, purchase some food for your apartment. The 19th is pretty far from the city center so doesn't contain many typical tourist attractions but the Science Museum is there, I think.

It sounds like you don't have much time for research so do some searches on this forum for ideas.

The last time I went in Paris, I stayed only one day. I arrived at 9:20am, then I put my luggages in the locker of the station and take a breakfast in a Parisian café. It's a good way to start the day

My list is not entirely one for repeat visitors. Ste-Chapelle and the Seine cruise are certainly sights for the first time. On my first trip to Paris one of my top sights was the sewers.

But we don't know anything about the OP. Perhaps this family has been to Paris before. Who knows what they're looking for. It's a mystery.

They have said that the check in time is 3PM and they do not have to take their luggage with them as they can check it at a train station.

With this short a visit I would have chosen a centrally-located hotel rather than an apartment out of the way.

We'd need to know your interests and what you are going to do with the rest of your time.

However, on the first day, leave your baggage at the "left luggage" at the Gare du Nord, have breakfast somewhere as suggested above.

By the time you arrive in Paris, do some homework either on this site or with a Fodor's, Michelin, or other travel guide, and decide on something that the four of you want to see in Paris that is relatively near the Gare du Nord. There is a lot relatively near there. For example, take the Metro to the Place de Vosges, walk around in it, walk over to see where the Bastille was, and then just stroll around.


In your last day, leave your luggage at the "left luggage" at the Austerlitz and walk around on the Left Bank of the Seine and Ile de la Cite and visiting whatever you hadn't seen so far.

One of the things I would do is take a fat bike tour! Kids will love it and its a fun way of seeing main sights of Paris that you can then explore further.Bikes are really easy to ride. One of our family's highlights!
