naxos to antiparos

We are staying four nights in Naxos in June. Through my searching I have found the House of Sea Kayaking on
Antiparos. They have a wonderful sunset kayak trip to the caves, etc. that sounds great. My question is... should we do a day trip from Naxos (boat to Paros, boat to Antiparos, bus to the kayaking place... and back) or just change Naxos to three nights and spend a night on Antiparos or Paros the night we do the kayak trip? Has anyone done the trip from Naxos to Antiparos? I've been to Paros before and went to Antiparos to visit the cave, I just haven't done it from Naxos. Thanks so much for any ideas.

Why not spend a night or two on Antiparos? Push the envelope a bit and experience something new. Right, Heimdall???

(He's our resident expert on Antiparos)

That sounds good but, I've never been to Naxos so that's going to be a new experience. Only two nights in Naxos doesn't seem like enough from what I've read. Maybe it's just too much to try to do just for a kayaking trip that lasts about four hours?

If you really want to I think you should. The question remains whether or not there are ferry connections that will allow it. It will be best to wait until you're on Naxos to be certain that you can get there back in one day. If it's 'do-able,' go for it! Sounds like fun.

Wait, I just realized that you're talking about doing a sunset trip. That makes it more difficult to do if you want to return in one day. This doesn't sound possible to do as a daytrip. It will probably mean an overnighter.

Actually, when I was considering this I asked the kayak company about that exact thing. Originally I didn't realize they do sunset trips and had only seen trips starting at 10am. I asked about the possibility of getting there that early from Naxos and he replied with the suggestion of doing a sunset trip instead. They have afternoon trips too but he said the sunset trip is prettier with the colors in the water, etc.

Apparently there is a boat around 10pm from Paros to Naxos that we can take back. He quoted all of the times, etc. and it seems to work.

I'm thinking we would go over earlier in the day and spend some time either seeing Paros a little or just get to Antiparos early and see it a little.

It's always an adventure and I love that part of it!

If anyone is interested the place is House of Sea Kayaking www.seakayak-greece.com. The pictures look lovely and it looks like some of them were taken on the sunset trip.
