Navigo Decoverte Recharge?

Jump to last reply

I understand one can recharge a Navigo Decoverte card for five years after initial purchase. I have been doing that for some time now, but I must be approaching the five year limit. My question is, "How can you tell the expiration date?" I have taken my cards out of the plastic holder, but I can find no notation of the date of purchase. Perhaps it is recorded on the chip, but that does me no good.

I don't mind paying the €5 fee to get a new card, but it might prove awkward when I get to Paris next, find I cannot recharge it, and do not have a new picture with me.
