Trip Report National Parks of Montenegro

Jump to last reply

This summer I spent a month in the Balkans and my favorite week was in Montenegro. While in Montenegro we focused on the national parks and hiking. The trails were some of the best that we came across in Europe and even in America. We had the chance to hike Durmitor, BidoGradska Gora and Lovcen.

I wrote a few tips about hiking the virgin forests of Eastern Europe with some photos of the hikes and villages near by: http://www.welltraveledmile.com/exploring-the-untouched-forests-of-montenegro/

I highly suggest stopping by at some of these parks if you are ever visiting the Balkans!
