Me and My husband are travelling to Istanbul & Cappadocia for a week and would like suggetion/recommendations on some must do activities in these cities. We will be in Istanbul for abt 4.5 days and in Cappadocia for 2.5 days.
Specifically, we wanted to book a place to see a whirling Dervish performance. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Many thanks in advance.

You can see the whirling dervish performance at Sarı Han in Cappadocia - http://www.saruhankervansaray.com/ensema.html
Your hotel will be able to arrange it for you.
We liked the Rick Steves guide to Istanbul. It will contain the must see sites and things to do (a boat trip to the mouth of the Black Sea).

You might want to take a look at my trip report; click on my name to find it and just skip the Roman ruins part (Izmir to Pamukkale).

As for the whirling dervishes... I went to one in Hodjapasha and it was pretty good. You can get info on it here: http://www.theguideistanbul.com/articles/arts-entertainment/articles/a-grab-bag-of-anatolian-dance-at-hodjapasha-culture-center-509.html
Hope you have a great time!
Thanks for the links Erikson!
Do the hot air balloon trip in Cappadocia; it is fabulous. We typically don't spend this kind of money on excursions, but if you are ever going to do ahot air balloon trip anywhere, Cappadocia is the place to do it.
Cappadocia:
I really enjoyed this: http://www.goreme.com/zelve-open-air-museum.php
Also -- hiking red valley at sunset was breathtaking.
I agree with julies -- the hot air balloon ride we took was amazing.
