Munich - Refugee/Immigration Concerns

Jump to last reply

Hello, I'm traveling for work to Munich, followed by Kehl/Strasbourg in mid-November. While I'm in Munich, my fiance was going to meet up with me for the weekend. I was wondering if due to the refugee/immigration crisis (for lack of a better term) in Europe, with Munich being the primary destination, maybe we should reconsider. My fiance has not traveled much, so getting around on her own to meet up with me will already be a concern of mine. Given potential overcrowding, I will of course have even more concern. Has anyone been there recently, or know if this should really be a concern of mine? We essentially have a free hotel room for the weekend, and all we need to do is pay for her flight to have a weekend in Munich, but I want to make sure the benefit will be worth the cost.

Any advice you have is helpful. Thank you!
