Munich or Salzburg

With limited time, we have to choose to spend two days either in Munich or in Salzburg. Any suggestions? Having never been to either city, we are at a loss.

Flip a coin.
Heads Munich; tails Salzburg.

When are you going?

It probably depends if you like a big or a small city. Munich was fine, but not my favorite place in Germany as I like small towns better.

There's much more to do in Munich than in Salzburg, and the central part of the city still feels small to me. It's also less crowded.

I've been to both and liked both - but - I liked the old world feel of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and all the glorious music everywhere there.

Hi,
We prefered Salzburg over Munich. With two days, you'll get to see a lot .
