Munich between CHristmas and New Years

I am traveling to Munich arriving on the 26th of December, and staying till the 29th. I know most markets are closed by then, but I would love to know anything else that might be fun to do for these few days. Any advice or suggestions would help a lot!

Have you been to Munich before and seen all the major sights?

If not suggest that you check out a couple of guide books - to see what YOU like. I know I love to see the various cathedrals, castles and museums - as well as the mountains south of the city - but don;t know your interests.

I really want to have an authentic experience, I would love to experience the holiday sites but I have heard that they are all closed by the 24th of December!
