Thought I would start a new thread even though this question is related to my last!
Looking for preferences for an overnight stop in either place. From research they both are appealing. This will be November so we anticipate rain but still want to see the area.
Thanks.
Mundaka or Lekeitio?

Lekeitio and Mundaka should be fine in November. The weather is similar to what you would experience in the Pacific Northwest, from Seattle to Vancouver, B.C.
As far as where to stay in Lekeitio, the Hotel Zubieta (www.hotelzubieta.com/) makes for a good base to explore the area.
As far as staying in the Urdaibai, you have several good choices. One of our favorites is Ontxene in Busturia (www.casaruralontxene.com/). Another is Lur Deia (www.lurdeia.com), which overlooks Bermeo from its private estate high above the Oka River and the Gernika estuary.
