Multi City Cost
I'm currently trying to plan a vacation for my and my best friend, and I could really use some help!
We would like to see Ireland, Scotland, London, and some of Belgium. I would appreciate ANY advice on traveling to these places.
How much would the average cost for two people be?
How much time should we stay in each place in order to actually enjoy rather than be constantly on the go?
Neither of us are very comfortable driving in a different country so how would you suggest we get around?
What is like an average cost of bus rides, cabs, or trains?
What are some ways we can still explore without paying an arm and a leg for the typical tourist stops?
And any reviews on Airbnb would be great!
I appreciate anything you can tell me about any of these topics!
P.S Were really into culture and scenery, a little bit of like souvenir shopping. Anything to get the genuine experience of being in another country.

First of all you need to give us some information:
How long will the trip be?
What time of year?
Assume you are students - if so are you good with hostels to save some money?
Do you have any clue for budget? $5K? $10K? Or ? - and is that for one person or both? (You can travel at many different price levels based on how willing you are to do without/live simply. But be prepared that prices in europe are higher than in the US unless you live in a very large city.)
You may want to look at the Let's GO Student guides in order to get tips and info.
The current best guess for the absolute lowest living cost is about 50 eruos per day per person - but that includes a bed in a hostel dorm room, lots of picnics or food from markets, walking versus using local transit and ignoring the more expensive sights. Transatlantic flights (at least $1K) and trains between cities are in addition to this amount. Frankly I would not be willing to travel at that level - nor was my daughter, 19, who went with 2 friends a couple of summers ago. She spent about $8k in 6 weeks living simply but not lowest bare bones.

We originally just wanted Germany but we decided we would rather see the other places.
Less than $10k is our budget, and 2-3 weeks is probably all we could take off work. We finished school so we're not students anymore. And I'm not so sure about hostels, I'd rather use Airbnb or a hotel

Your questions are way to vague.
Start looking in paperguides or if you're not totally outdated like me on internet, but first look for yourself, then ask advice to finetune.
2-3 weeks - you can stay in any ONE place and not have enough time !
Cost of living : would be nice to know where you're from to have a base for comparison.
A burger at a McDo in Belgium costs about 6 € (err, not so sure actually, hardly ever go) anyway for 4 people at a bloody McDo I usually end up paying 50 something Euros.
Helpful ?

Some of Belgium? Which parts? It may be a small country but there is a lot to see there.
Wherein Scotland? Where in Ireland? Without knowing more about what you are hoping to see/do we can't possibly offer advice on transport or places to stay.

Unless you are over 25 car hire may not be an option. Trains may be the way to go - see the Man in Seat 61 website. I take it that you don't want so see any of England apart from London? Also think about money in the local currencies (EUR and GBP). I have no idea what kind of $ you are talking about so that's a bit meaningless.

Getting about you need to google uk train line map and see where is easy to go, you can do the same for the other countries, you also need http://www.transportforireland.ie/ which tells you how to get where by public transport on the Emerald Isle and http://www.traveline.info/
It depends how much you move, how early you plan and what luxury you want. For me I'd plan £100 a night for a room for 2. Food at £45 person per day and transport £20 per day per person for intra-city movements and more like £100 per day per person for inter-city movements. Hope that helps. Hostels should allo you to halve the accomodation rate.
I also change my diet to match the local region and cut down on meat because, if I am going to be ill I find meat is the usual contaminant.

Your questions really are too vague. You need to read some guidebooks and look at maps. Every dot on the planet has a website these days, so you can look up specific costs for anything with regard to accommodations, food, transport, and such in any locale.
AirBnb is really only useful if you're going to settle in someplace for a few days, but you haven't even determined that.
<<. We finished school so we're not students anymore.>>
Then you might want to stop saying "like" when it's not relevant or necessary.

Well $10 K for 2 or 3 weeks will give you enough to stay in hotels (modest to moderate), eat in actual restaurants (but not upscale ones) for dinner and visit what ever sights you choose.
But for us to help you, you really need to decide on how long you have Scotland, Ireland, England and Belgium in 2 weeks is really not going to work since IMHO you need at least 5 nights just for London. (In two weeks you can do parts of England and either Scotland OR Ireland - not everything.)
For the countryside of Ireland and Scotland you will probably want to rent a car - if you qualify by age. But train works better between major cities.
And time of year can make a big difference in both weather and crowds - as well as if and how many days a week many places are open - so we do need that to help give you recos.

Mr. Pickle and I have stayed in hostels several times, most recently in 2007 when we spent a couple of weeks and England and Wales. You can get a private room if you don't like the idea of a dorm in most of them. Check www.yha.org.uk for more information.
